Polices and Procedures

1. The Media Center is open from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

2. All students must have a LIBRARY PASS issued by a teacher before entering. Students must sign in and out at the front desk. Students will leave their pass at the front desk and pick it up with the return time when they leave.

3. Students may check out two books that may be kept for two weeks. Students will be charged $.03 per day for overdue books with the maximum fine being $3.00. Students are responsible for lost books and must pay the listed cost.

4. Loud talking, eating, or drinking are not allowed.

5. Black and white copies and printouts are $0.10. Colored copies are $0.25.

6. Students may use the Internet if the Acceptable Use Policy has been signed by a parent or guardian.
 
7. Students should enter and exit the Media Center through the hall door. 

8. Students should not go behind the checkout counter without permission.

9. Students should not touch materials in areas designated for faculty and staff.

10. Students should put books taken from the shelves back in the proper place.

11. Please do not push books to the back of the shelf. They are forward for easier access.

12. Students must use their IDs to checkout books and materials from the media center.
 

Consequences for not following policies and procedures.

First Offense - - Students will be warned by library staff.

Second Offense - - Students will be asked to leave the library, and the teacher who sent them will be notified.

Third Offense - - Loss of library privilege for one week.

Fourth Offense - - Referred to office.
