Wee Deliver

To encourage your child to write more letters!

We have a program here at HES called Wee Deliver.  This program allows our great Hollywood citizens to write letters to their friends and teachers.  Students write and address their letters and place them in their classroom mailboxes.  From there they are picked up on Mondays and Wednesdays by our Postal Carriers and dropped off at our school post office.  The Facers make sure that each piece of mail is facing the same direction.  Then, the Nixie Clerks check each address and stamp the mail.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Sorters come in and place the mail into the appropriate sorting boxes for each classroom.  Then, the Postal Carriers deliver the mail to each classroom on their route.  The Post Master makes sure that everything runs smoothly and that everyone is doing their assigned job on their assigned day.

Post Master - Maliki
Facers - Heather and Kathryn
Nixie Clerk - Rosia, Greyson, and Kaylee
Sorters - Kayla and Montana
Postal Carriers - Sam, Jesse, Christina, Christen
Stationary Sellers - Bailey, Keely, Chelsea, and Madison

The program coordinator is Mrs. Shealy in the Media Center, where the post office is located.  The Exemplary Writing Committee helps at the beginning of the year to update the address book that is copied and distributed to each classroom.  The members of the committee also make sure that each student receives mail throughout the year by adopting a particular grade level for the entire school year.
