I earned my Bachelor of Science
in Elementary Education from the Winthrop University in 1976. I taught
first grade for thirteen years in Bowman,S.C. The last 19 years were
spent teaching third grade. In May
of 2005 I was named Teacher of the Year at Hollywood Elementary. I
am honored to represent our school.
I have
been married for 15 years to Henry Rivers of Newberry,S.C. I have two
stepsons, Danny and Jason.
I love to travel and spend time with my husband. My other hobbies include
crocheting, watching DVD's and reading. |

Rules and Consequences
|
1. Follow directions first time given.
2. Stay in your
seat unless you have permission to talk.
3. Raise your
hand unless you have permission to talk.
4. Keep hands,
feet, and objects to yourself.
5. No foul language
or teasing. |

Homework

Homework
will be given every night except Friday. Assignments for the day should
be written in the appropriate block for the subject area. Three points
will be deducted for each missed assignment in each subject area and recess
time will be used to complete the assignment. Please check your child's
agenda book.
Signed papers
will be sent home on Mondays. This will include test and papers from
the prior week. Please keep all papers stapled in order to insure that
everything has been viewed. Please sign the top paper and return on
Tuesdays. Recess time will be reduced for late returns.
