About Mrs. Frye

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University in 2001 and my Masters in Reading Education in 2003.  I taught Title One Reading in North Carolina before moving to South Carolina.  I am really enjoying  teaching third grade English/Language Arts at Hollywood. I am Hollywood's Teacher of the Year for 2008.
My husband, Joel, and I were married July 3, 2005.  We have a two year old Doberman Pinscher named Hugo.
I love to travel, especially to see my family in sunny Florida!  My other hobbies include scrapbooking, hiking, and, of course, READING!

Homework/Signed Papers
Homework will be given every night except for Friday.  Assignments for the day should be written in the appropriate block for the subject area. Please check your child's agenda book.  Monday through Thursdays students are required to read for fifteen minutes a night.  This reading is recorded in agenda books by writing the title and pages read each night.  Three points will be deducted for each missed assignment in each subject area and recess time will be used to complete the assignment.

Signed papers will be sent home on Mondays.  This will include tests and graded work from the prior week. Please keep all papers stapled in order to insure that everything has been viewed.  Please sign the top paper and return on Tuesdays. Recess time will be reduced for late returns.
